Glow Up

Botox for Smooth Skin

Do you want to reduce wrinkles and fine lines? Reverse the aging process and reclaim smooth skin with Botox treatments at The Spa Scottsdale. This FDA-approved procedure, administered by trained practitioners at our clinic, is quick and painless.

Botox is an injectable treatment with botulinum toxin Type A as the key ingredient. With age, our body’s collagen production diminishes and causes wrinkles. It can lead to creases on the face known as crow’s feet and frown lines.

These injections can also be used to define the jawline and make lips look plumper. While Botox is a temporary solution, you can maintain the results with periodic touch-ups. Our experienced team of professionals can customize a treatment plan for you in keeping with your specific cosmetic goals.

How Botox Works

Facial lines and wrinkles are caused by different factors such as cellular changes, sun damage, and muscle contractions that occur when you frown or smile. When you get a Botox injection, the targeted muscle will be stopped from contracting. This causes the wrinkles and fine lines to relax and diminish.

This procedure does not need any incisions and requires minimal downtime. You will see visible results within 24 to 48 hours post-treatment while full results will take up to 30 days. The results can last up to four months but this might be slightly lesser for those with severe frown lines or wrinkles.

Our Botox specialists will be happy to answer any queries or concerns you may have. We will strive to get you the results you desire and help you maintain the look with regular follow-ups. If you’re looking for reiki in Scottsdale, we can help you with that too!

Before

Let your practitioner know of any problem zones or areas of concern. You will then be taken to a treatment room with adequate privacy and once you are settled in, the procedure will begin.

During

Your experienced practitioner will numb the targeted area with a topical cream. They will then use a fine needle to inject the Botox into the muscles and you may experience some mild discomfort.

After

Don’t rub the injection site for at least 24 hours after the treatment. You should try to stay in an upright position for about three to four hours post-procedure.

Questions

Some Common

Questions

We have put together some of the common questions that we get from clients. These are aimed at providing you with all necessary information about Botox treatments. If there are any unanswered questions you have, please do get in touch with us. Don’t forget to also ask about our facials in Scottsdale.

  • How safe are Botox treatments?

Botox treatments are medical-grade procedures that are FDA-approved. These treatments have been around for nearly two decades. They are popular owing to the low risk of side-effects and non-surgical procedure.

There are plenty of published studies and articles that attest to the efficacy and safety of Botox. At The Spa Scottsdale, only trained and experienced practitioners provide this treatment. This ensures that you are in safe hands all the time.

At any time before, during, or after the procedure, feel free to ask questions of your practitioner about the treatment. Before choosing, you could also ask about the HydraFacial cost.

  • Any precautions to be followed before treatment?

Before you come in for your Botox treatments, there are some simple precautions you can take to ensure optimal results.

    • Do not drink alcohol for at least five to six days before the procedure

    • Reschedule your appointment if you develop a skin infection in the targeted area

    • If you use blood thinners, discontinue them a week before the treatment

    • On the day of the treatment, do not drink caffeinated beverages

Inform your practitioner about any allergies that you have. Mention conditions such as muscle atrophy or difficulty swallowing. This will help them customize your treatment and make alternative treatment suggestions such as our popular HydraFacial in Scottsdale.

  • Is Botox suitable for everyone?

Botox is considered suitable for most healthy individuals, men, and women, who want to reverse signs of aging or sun damage. Age is not a guiding factor when determining if you need Botox.  These injections are suitable for anyone bothered by fine lines or wrinkles on the face.

Some people may experience these issues from their early 30s. Many others do not seek treatment till they are in their mid-40s or older. Your individual preferences and cosmetic goals will largely influence your decision to try Botox.

Botox is not for you if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have certain neuromuscular conditions. Talk to our specialists for more information to help you make your decision. You could also ask about our HydraFacial MD.

  • What are some after-effects of Botox treatments?

Immediately after your Botox treatment, you may experience headaches. It is common and should ease with pain relievers suggested by your practitioner.

Your practitioner will offer advice on what is normal and signs to watch out for.

Some clients experience mild bruising and slight discomfort in the area around the injection site. These usually resolve in a few hours without the need for any medications.

Eye dryness, flu-like symptoms, and malaise are possible in some people, though it is uncommon. Do get in touch with your practitioner if these effects do not resolve within a reasonable time or get worse.
